About me
I’m Alperen, a Computer Engineering master’s student at RWTH Aachen. I like understanding how things work, from data pipelines and language models to digital circuits and embedded systems. Difficult technical problems give me a reason to learn, experiment and build.
My work has included automotive data processing, AI-assisted test specification pipelines, research knowledge tools and software for engineering teams. An internship at Bosch in Japan also gave me experience working across cultures and documenting technical ideas clearly.
Alongside software, I enjoy hands-on hardware work: writing VHDL, programming microcontrollers and soldering. Outside engineering, I read in German, English and Turkish, go mountaineering and strength training, and follow motorsport.
WORK
Larger projects get dedicated pages or subdomains. Small learning projects stay organized inside the Web Lab.
Developed and optimised a GPU-accelerated Gaussian Splatting pipeline for complex scenes. Evaluated the approach against rasterisation and ray tracing, exploring performance, mathematical foundations and potential automotive applications.
Combined asynchronous Playwright data collection with spaCy, transformer models and TextBlob for entity and sentiment analysis. Used LangChain and Ollama for contextual analysis, Xata for storage and Power BI for interactive visualisation.
Translated instruction-set requirements into an ALU, registers, instruction decoding and finite-state control in synthesizable VHDL. Created testbenches and analysed waveforms in ModelSim; used Quartus II for synthesis, implementation, pin assignment and JTAG programming.
